Model tokens
A separate meter, model_access_usd, at the provider's list price. With your own key (BYOK) this meter is zero and you pay the provider directly. The usage ledger shows tokens per request alongside RU.
How billing works on Google Cloud Marketplace
Annual plans bill once at purchase through Marketplace. Included monthly RU are netted in your workspace; only overage is reported, hourly, as reconciliation_units. Model access is reported as model_access_usd in cents. Both appear as line items on your Google Cloud invoice, which Google issues at month end; usage reported before 06:00 US Pacific on the 1st lands on the previous month's invoice.
Usage ledger
Every metered unit has a request id, the document or item it relates to, the user, and a timestamp — visible in the workspace before it is reported. Export it as CSV and reconcile it to your invoice.
Caps
Set a monthly RU cap and a model-spend cap per workspace. When a cap is reached, new work queues and the workspace owner is notified; nothing is silently billed past a cap.
Direct billing
If Marketplace is not an option, Carnegie Intelligent Technology Limited invoices in USD with the same meters.
